Flying with multiple peoples firearms in one case?

Lost me on that. IMO, putting two different hunters’ guns in one case is asking for trouble. Two hunters using one gun at destination country in Africa, taken by one hunter seems like a complete non-issue. Am I missing something?
Specific to Canada on this topic, and their CBP Form 4457

I had a very nice anti gun person (sarcasm intended) at the Air Canada recheck after I got my rifle through customs. I would not chance it, as it only takes one person to cause a logistical nightmare.
