Have any of you any experience with this..? Might be interesting for travel Europe - Addis -Luanda - Maun with Ethiopian Airlines, new route per june 2024. A way to by-pass Joburg and the potential hazzle there..ie loosing luggage/firearms for days (been there done that).

I worked in Angola for about 5-1/2 years (2003-2009), so I know the Luanda airport, Quatro de Fevereiro, fairly well. During that time it was a really bad, dirty and inefficient airport. However, I did go to Angola in 2018 and the airport was much improved. Still not great, but acceptable. All planes park out on the tarmac and you get on a bus to get to the terminal.

Angola is is currently building a new international airport, which is about 40km away. Not sure when it will open or what it will be like.

That might be a recipe for disaster. Angola has no Hunting industry and has a history of violence. It might not be the best place to take a rifle. You could try and write a report about your experiences however.

Just moving to DM. Yes, please ask your friend if he knows somebody who might be willing to support a persistent hunt in the snow.

Hi Paul,
This is Daniel from Mankazana Safaris.

I saw your post regarding a hunt in Africa. I am sure you have been bombarded with messages and replies from other outfitters, so I will keep this one quick.
I have a feeling we have exactly what you need for a first safari.
