Thank you for sharing! Not sure I ever got where they were taking the elephants!

I'm sure if you pinged Phillip at Ivory Trails Safaris, he'd tell you. IDK, either, but it's nice to see the ele populations up.

Really impressive undertaking!

Did you guys happen to catch that list bit...totally paid for by hunters! Yay us!

I did! So I went on line to check out their website. I only found reference to photo safaris. I thought that a strange omission as the Bubye overtly supports hunting.

Sorry for the glitch, I remember attending a relocation in the northwest frontier of Kenya in 2000. Helicopter was used to dart but lots of locals sang and dragged by rope the family unit into closed trucks for the trip further north. It was quite interesting

These elephant were relocated to the Zambezi Valley and released in RIFA safari area. Used to be a hunting concession but is now run by Hemmersbach Rhino Force as a non hunting area. Funded by a German guy I believe. I have done a few Rhino/lion capture exercises and it is amazing to get so close to those animals.

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
