After buying one a couple of months ago I got a call this afternoon about another ZKK600 30-06 that is up for sale at my local gunshop....apparantly in prestine condition....I will be there first thing tomorrow morning......
The other one will then be sacrifised to become a 7x64 Brenneke.....

Did they chamber one in the 7x64? Seems I recall seeing them

As stated for sure, here is the mag box out of the ZKK 600 270Win I used to build my .458Win on.

Be a another nice pick up for you, the 7X64 is a fine cartridge but Isn't it a little hard to find ammo for in SA, one of the guys I worked for had one & ended up shooting 280 Rem/7mm Express in his ?

Not sure if that is a good choice (shooting the 280 in the 7X64 not the 7X64) ?

7x64, one of my favorite rounds. My Mannlicher Schoenauer M72 shoots great.

7x64 is reasonably common down here, even PMP used to make ammo for them in the day.
Cases a' plenty and .284 is probably the 3rd or 4th most common bullet after .30 and .264.

.280 is scarce, unobtanium.

If I could find a left handed rifle in that caliber I would be all over it.

Shit maybe I got that the other way around then & he was shooting 7X64 in a 280, I don't remember the rifle or that would tell us ?

Oh well back from the gunshop and now am the owner of a second BRNO ZKK600 30-06. and yes it looks to be in unfired condition has both triggers as well as a barrel band with the classic straight stock....

I like your plan. and the BRNO 600-602's are classic guns.

LvW - not so long ago safari Outdoor in Boksburg had a nice Brno ZKK 600 in 9,3x64 , if I had known then that you like the ZKKs so much I would have let you know . I was tempted to buy it myself but as I already have a 9,3x64 I gave it a miss .

Hi LvW,

Very nice ZKK 600!! I have a ZKK 601 .308 Win made in 1977, still with the peep sight. Around 1978 BRNO quit to made the folding rear bridge peep sight but retained the barrel mounted front sling swivel for some more years.

Hey Odinsraven. Is that post from Jefferry 404 legitimate? I don't know him. Thanks!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
