You’re absolutely correct. We spend about 5 months practicing from the shooting sticks, some he had never done. It’s been fun and can’t believe it’s happening. :D

Bags are ready to go. Will do one final check tomorrow, I’ll probably unpack and repack to ensure I’m not missing anything. :ROFLMAO:

Oh my dear friend, I think I would probably forget the ammo (not) before I forget my cigars. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I've walked out of the house with cigars, gun and no wallet. :ROFLMAO:

I'll post pictures of the cigars on the cigar thread. (y)

Heading to the Eastern Cape to hunt with Game-4-Africa Safaris. A good friend of mine is who got me all spooled up to go back this soon. This will be his first time hunting Africa. I also took advantage of G4A package deal they had on Buffalo. So, Buffalo is the main target, followed by Kudu and Impala, and who know what else. My friend will be hunting Eland, Kudu, Nyala, and Gemsbuck. I told him to take some extra $$ just in case of that once in a lifetime animal. :ROFLMAO:

Gear:

Rifle AHR CZ-550 in 375 H&H, with a Trijicon 1-6x24 scope.
Ammo: Factory Barnes Vortex TSX 300 grs.

Rifle my friend is using: It's a Remington 721 in 300 H&H that I purchased from @mdwest, topped with a 3-9x40 Trijicon scope.
Ammo: Hendershots ammo, 180 grs TTSX.

Personal gear: Crispi Attiva boots, Crispi Merino Wool Socks, KUIU pants, KUIU Jacket, KUIU beanie, KUIU gloves and Bass Pro cotton shirts.

Other gear: Pelican two rifle case, Rudolph PH Shooting Sticks, 5.11 12 hrs backpack (for hunting), and 5.11 72 hrs backpack (Carry on).

Binoculars: Swarovski SLC10x42, in a Badlands bino harness.

Departing Atlanta on Delta, spending the night at Africa Sky, and taking Airlink the next day to East London. All reservations were done through Travel Express (Thank you Jennifer), and we scheduled for the VIP and rifle clearance through Africa Sky.

Safari dates: 17-24 Jun 2025.

I figure I get a head start on the report. More to follow with the occasional post from the Cape. Stay tuned. :D

Have a great hunt. Waiting for the report.

Perfect time of year for an Eastern Cape hunt, good luck and looking forward to the report.

Wik put a video out a day or two ago of some flooding up near the north camp. Should be nice and green if it warms up a bit.

Did he posted the video here or FB??

Look forward to reading your hunt report, I have enjoyed reading about your other hunts to date. I sincerely wish you have a great trip! Hope for good weather for you. The EC is a great place.

That's what I'm talking about! No bugs or snakes and easy to follow tracks in the snow! AND, after the hunt, just grab a beer from a snowbank. No refrigeration needed. Just like hunting elk here. LOL

What sling studs do those swivels fit ? They look to be quite a bit wider than the standard modern swivels. They may be just what I need for my Remington 30 Express wide swivel studs. Can you measure the pin diameter ?
