Delta 200 dates

I thought another post I read asking others if they would be at ATL airport on a certain date was a really cool idea, but didn't want to hijack the OP's thread. Instead I'll steal his idea.. I think it might be interesting to use this as kind of an ongoing thread where members could get together before or after the long flight.

To start it out, My daughter and I will be there on June 17,2017. I'm not familiar with the airport, but if anyone else will be there and want to get together over a cold one, please reply here.( Also let me know where to go).

Also, if others can use this thread to meet up on other dates, please feel free.

Or you can do what I did. I saw a guy reading a bow hunter magazine so I proceeded to ask if he was going on safari. It turns out he was going to the same camp as us! We'll be flying through ATL on Sept. 3 and returning on Sept 16.

Flying out June 6th Flight 200 and returning, Joberg to at Atlanta Flight 201 departing JNB June 15th arriving Atlanta June 16th.

Flight 200 usually leaves out of the E terminal but have also departed out of the F terminal. Both have good areas to meet and share a beverage.

Great idea to try to meet up. I travel alone most of the time and a drink and a good visit before the horror of 16 hours in an aluminum tube ensues is a fantastic idea.

I've flown to Africa many different ways except Europe and Delta 200 is the best time wise. There are many options but when you look at hours of travel to your destination this is a top option. The problem is that it is a popular flight and BC seats are sky high. The Comfort + seats are the way to go.

Yep! I have done this round trip 4 times before today and they have lie flat seats in business! I will be in 5B tonight headed to JNB!

Above is the view! TV is in the wall to the right as is the tray table! Everything on the seat is controlled from a wired handset which is stowed next to the seat. Sit back and watch a movie or lie back and go to sleep!
The Delta Plane is a Boeing 777-200 LR. Comfortable yes but not like business on a Emirates flight.

Bert go on Seatguru.com before you select your seat. Some have a lot of light or are very near restrooms. Once on the site click on Delta flight 200
Or just their 777. You will see some seats are Jess desirable than others!

Yes I have. I don't think there is a bad one per se.... the upfront cabin is quieter than the second. Window or no window???? Most of flight is in the dark. So doesn't matter too much.... do you sleep on right or left side.... things to consider. Enjoy.
