Cull Hunt for a First Timer?

That's the best reason of all to join this site. Lots of good information and different opinions. Best decision you can make is ask questions until you are satisfied. Good luck with whatever trip you decide, but go and have fun and learn like we all have.

Hi Velo Dog,
It isn't typical African hunting but blind is a way of hunt.

For me cull hunt is that :
http://www.africahunting.com/threads/culling-in-africa.5521/
and hunting no trophy animal is that :
http://www.africahunting.com/threads/south-africa-rsa-2nd-family-safari-report.16617/ female, young, broken horns but walk, check, track ...

Hope to help our friend Brushmore. Buffalo cow for a first African hunting trip can be interesting !

Hi Guepard,

Thank you for the web sites.

I agree with you.

Best Regards,
Velo Dog.

I would call a cull hunt commercial hunting.

I think that what Brushmore has in mind is non-trophy hunting, and there, he has to have a frank discussion with his outfitter as to what to expect.

On my trophy hunts I have been asked by my PH to shoot animals in bad shape in three occasions, which I gladly did, but was not charged for it.

Here´s a pic of one of them.

I did a cull for my first hunt and will likely go that route again. For me the hunt is the stalking and experience not a trophy animal. We all go for different reasons

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
