Exiting times when crates arrive!! Congrats on getting them home!

What a great day for you guys!!

Christmas all over again!

Impressive collection. Enjoy.

You are "creating";) many fond memories with the arrival of your "crates":D.

Christmas boxes came early.....for 2021 that is.

Nothing like opening up a big box and finding all those memories of your hunt.

Nice European mounts!

Reminds me of how excited I'll be when the crate arrives from Namibia!

It looks like a really good packaging job! Great looking euros! Congratulations!
Who were the shippers if I may ask?

Who were the shippers if I may ask?

The shipper was African Trophy Exports.

But here's where it gets a little odd, at least for me,...I contacted Marakalalo Taxidermy to do the taxidermy work prior to our hunt. Had great correspondence with the owner prior to the trophies being picked up, during the process, and leading up to the shipment. During the shipment I corresponded with the owner of Marakalalo and the agent with African Trophy Exports...the crate arrives, I'm very happy with the work, nothing was damaged, but taped to the wrapping of every mount was a tag that said Umlindi Taxidermy. I'm familiar with Umlindi as it was very near where we hunted and I'd researched them prior to the trip but when you Google them everything says they are out of business, their Facebook page hasn't been posted to since June of 2018. So who knows, all I can guess is the owner of Marakalalo reached out to the former owner of Umlindi since he was 30 mins from where we hunted, had him do the euros, shoulder mount, and zebra skin, and paid him for the work.

The end product is more than satisfactory so all is good...guess it is was it is.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
