Figured I would pass these along for those that are looking…both in the same Morphy auction. Note, the .470 was made in the late 80’s, not the 2000’s as noted in the description.

As has been commented on before by people I respect greatly these prices are nothing but bait, let me assure you these will end up costing $20k+ without the auction premium, shipping etc. Do not be fooled

I totally agree…I will be watching these auctions just to see how high they get. That being said, some people may pay the extra cost to bypass the wait.

Please keep us updated just out of curiosity.

Just 6 years ago people were sending me hate mail for trying to sell a .470 Heym with beautiful wood for purchase price; unfired new in box with all documents.

An elderly man had neck surgery and big bores were no longer possible by the time the rifle arrived.

How would they do that?

I hate auctions that list for 14 days on GB; no way I could stand this. When I stumble upon something I want...

Buy it at auction instead of ordering it new and waiting the 3+ years it takes for delivery. That being said, if heym offered an additional cost for faster delivery times they would likely increase their profit margin substantially.

Well I was confused because I thought regardless of how much these sell for, it would be less than a comparable new one. But I don't know the Heym double market at all. BTW, there were several posts in the other Heym thread suggesting Heym has no desire (or maybe even the capability) to offer faster delivery times.
