Committee II did not accept proposed amendments to Res. Conf. 10.10 in order to close all domestic ivory markets but accepted draft decisions urging Parties that haven't closed #ivory markets to report on measures to ensure they do not contribute to poaching & illegal trade.

And I think that was the meaning of the representative from Namibia’s comments. How can other countries tell the people in a country what they can sell. It would be the same as the EU telling Canada that you can’t sell lumber products because they think the Douglas fur is endangered.
