My son and I have been teaching Kansas Concealed Carry since our state initiated the program in 2006. I am always interested in what people choose to carry and why…if they want to share. After going through many models to include Glocks and Rugers, both of which I like, I finally settled on a Sig Sauer P365 in 9 X 19 with a Urban Carry Lock Leather IWB. Though the barrel is short, I like the micro-compact for concealability IWB at 4 o’clock position. A longer sight radius would be more accurate to shoot but I can shoot inside 12” consistently at 25 yards. Also, since we teach Women’s Basic Handgun, I would be interested in hearing what your wives, girl friends, moms like to carry in terms of model, caliber, semi-auto or revolver.

Here is another similar thread for reference...

I am generally carrying a Kimber Micro 9.

G19 in an OWB kydex sheath that I made…

Occasionally a G43.. also in an OWB kydex sheath that I made..

I’ve deviated and tried different things over the years.. I got lazy and carried a ruger LCP for a while for example.. but I first started carrying a g19 in the mid 90’s and have always gravitated back to it… it’s simply what I’m comfortable with and what I know..

At a minimum I carry a 38 spl 2 shot O/U derringer. Depending on where I'm going and what I might be doing it's paired with either or both 4-5/8" barrel 44 mag revolver and/or 1911, 45 ACP, double stack, semi auto.

Type ammo is also depending on scenario - situation to be expected.

my EDC,

Sig p365 macro 17+1 and came with 3 21 round mags and2 17 round mags, in a Vedder kydex holster, appendix carry. (you'll shoot your dick off! ;)) it came with a red dot sight on in, i can wear a fitted t shirt, no print. easy carry, lots of ammo ( i carry a spare mag in a cargo pocket).

Glock G29 10mm 200 grain @1200 fps in a Yaqui and S&W M60 J-Frame with 158 grain SWC.

Did my USCCA instructor certification with a G42 and carried G22 back when the .40 was popular with law enforcement. Also had an LCP Max at one time.....but the G19 is the time tested standard for sure.

Carried a Ruger Redhawk many years ago when I was part-time sheriff deputy...it was a hog-leg but fun to shoot! Interesting choice with the derringer....easily concealable yet often overlooked as a EDC choice.

Nice combination with the M&P and holster. I've had some .357 before but never that short a barrel...must be pretty snappy with magnum loads unless loaded with specials.

It's a comfortable and smooth rig to carry, but being outside the belt, it does create a noticeable bulge under the shirt.
The .357 is definitely snappy to say the least, even with .38 +P.

No holster, pocket carry Keltec. It's nice and flat.

P365 w/ manual safety. Pocket carry in a pocket holster. 9x19, I do 9+1.

H&K VP9, 20 rd mag in the pistol, plus a spare 20 and 2 spare 15s.

VNSH holster.

H&K VP9SK on the strong hand side, S&W Bodyguard 380 w manual safety in a sticky holster on the weak hand side.

Diamondback DB380 Gen 4... whatever I am wearing: front pocket, back pocket, vest pocket... they all work.

Springfield Armory Garrison 4" 1911 with 125g Ultra Max hp 9mm in an Askins Avenger OWB.
Sig 938 Nightmare with Ultramax125g hp in a home made IWB.
Depending on situation and clothing.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
