Cash on Safari

I take an around my neck pouch for my passport and cash. Goes inside my shirt
Ditto...with the majority of cash stashed in a good leather money belt.

Who are you hunting with? Hunted with Jamy Traut in Kaokoland and Panorama, then off to Swakopmund. Used US dollars for tips with no problem. Definitely do the Etosha park 2 night trip and the sand dunes trip in swakopmund. If you are going with JT miss Kirsten can line you up.
I hunted with Jamy at Panorama in 2018. I inquired about currency for tips on several occasions prior to the hunt. The response was always: USD. When tip time came around, he told me to tip the staff in Namibian dollars and exchanged $800 US. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t quite what I wanted to give.

My "formula" for $1,000 would be:

5 - new $100 bills
10 - $20 bills
20 - $10 bills
20 - $5 bills

American currency can "make things happen" in Africa.

Especially in RSA.

I, also, spread my money out.

Some on me.
Some in my carry-on.
A little in my checked baggage.

Any fellow travelers, get some too.

If you want "opportunities," take at least $10K.

Reported. You need to rethink your life. Being a scammer is not good
I suspected something was off from his initial posts, but it’s concerning the responses AI can type up to sound like a hunter. Thankfully (at least for now) you can still identify the difference.

Yep AI is just going to make things increasingly difficult unfortunately.

I just hit the cash machines @ the Casino in PE - draw 2/3 the trip plus tips and pay with that- cash works - problem is to convert foreign currency - they have to pay tax on it unless they use it black - have asked my regular PH's said rand in large bundles - also have converted GBP into chips never gambled cashed them back into rand and rate beat my CC

but rand is usually accepted !

But doing this more times than is sane !

Back After a Long Time – Hello Again!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a member since 2015 but haven’t been active since 2017. Life got busy, especially with building my second business. Still, I’ve kept my passion for hunting and followed things from afar. Now that I have more time, I’m excited to reconnect, contribute, and be part of the community again.

All the best,
ANDY

I'd like a bag of 100. I could actually pick it up since I'm in North Irving, but if you prefer, shipping it is fine.
