Cabela’s Aluminum Double Rifle Case

While it is great case you have to admit that without wheels it is a dinosaur and there are a number of newer ones out there that are just as good and cheaper.

This is coming from a owner of one who switched to a roller case and still has the aluminum Cabela's case sitting under the bed.

Wheels can be added to these cases I have a set of wheels here now I'm getting ready to install on mine.

Let us know how water tight it is when you finish. Not that we all are going to go out and dump our cases into a lake but a number of us might hunt in a very humid area and don't want any extra humidity or moisture in the cases.. There are also a number of us that might fly through a very humid area on our way to a drier area.

Also are you adding a handle on the opposite side of the wheels?

Silicone between all contact points will solve that.

I have that same case...added wheels and a belt- leather pull strap on the other end.
Works like a charm.

The wheel kit is pop riveted on and I was going to put a sealer around it.
