I am offering this BRNO Effect in .308 for sale. I have owned this gun for more than 15 years and used it to hunt whitetails in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It has been replaced by a Ruger No.1 in .250 Savage, and it has been relegated to the back of the gun safe. I am selling to “thin the herd,” having recently purchased too many new (to me) guns. It comes with the attached BRNO scope mount (NO SCOPE included).

It has been several years since I fired the rifle, and do not have any of the targets, but it was an accurate hunting rifle. I had mounted a Leupold VX-III 1.75 x 6 scope when hunting. Concerning rifle condition, it has a few hunting marks. I have attached many pictures to show the rifle’s condition. If anyone would like additional pictures please let me know and I will provide.

Asking $1350.00 shipped from my FFL to the buyer’s FFL. Continental U.S preferably, but if anyone from AK or HI is interested we can check shipping rates.

If interested parties would like to contact me by phone or FaceTime I am more than willing and can provide contact information. I am located in Northern Virginia if you would like to meet in person.

Post a reply or DM me with any questions.

The advertised specifications:

“The Effect features select walnut, a single set trigger, automatic safety, iron sights, and big game engravings on the receiver. All parts and components of this firearm are made from premium steel and select walnut wood. A rugged action with a wide wedge and front plate guarantee high endurance. The firing mechanism is cocked during the rifle opening using the top lever.”

Drilled and tapped for scope mounts
Adjustable iron sights
Bavarian oil finished walnut stock
Glossy Blued finish
41” Overall length
6.0 lbs weight
Barrel length 20”

Man! That is gorgeous! I've never seen one before now. Good Luck!!!

I have one in 7x57r. I took it to SA with 175 Swift A-frames and took impala and walked a lot of miles with it. It wears a Leupold 1-4 in old Warne/Talley rings and I machined bases into the top of the monoblock. It weighs nothing. Just a beautiful little rifle and surprisingly accurate for how light it is. I think these are worth considerably more than $1300. I’d value mine at about $2k without the optics.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
