To open the necks the cases should be annealed and a couple steps in expansion from 30 to 35 caliber.

Tell your buddy the ADG blows norma out f the water. It’s lapua quality

Unfortunately I can’t help with the brass but I have a new Lee factory crimp die for 35 Whelen if you need that.
