I bought this rifle on friday......after proper inspection and testing.

Dislikes.....the caliber 458WM could rechamber to 450 Ne or 450 No 2 NE....

Likes....

The price...
Serial nr. MR008
IT balances perfect and the fit is also perfect.
Can be self regulated mid barrel and at the muzzle.
Locks up like a bank vault....also has double kersten lock.
Weight 9lbs
Ejectors.....smart ones to boot....it only ejects the fired round top barrel or both if both are fired.
Single trigger.....mechanical....this may have some jumping up and down.....bear in mind this will be a trails guide rifle(if it passes our rigorous testing) so there is no need to be able to switch between softand solid. Trails guides can only use solid ammunition no softs. Furthest shots 15m. It is a mechanical trigger. I tested it with self made snap caps and you just pull release trigger and pull....second striker fires everytime.
Already place for Aimpoint sight.

I know many dont like O/U, I prefer them..
It may not be a show piece but I think it has potential for reliability and functionality....

If not we will have a very cool pig gun.....

Nothing wrong with it.

Ammo and component prices for the 458 are a bargain compared to a NE round. Nice find.

Congratulations! I don’t believe CZ made very many, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a used one for sale online. This is a really cool double, I like it!

Congrats!
Let us know how well it is regulated!

You could try some on the loads that have been put up on here to see if your mind on the ballistics can be changed.

Can't see the safety, but can we assume it fires the top barrel first, then the bottom?

I think the 458 Win will be just fine for your intended purpose.

I am preparing for snow in sunny Zimbabwe, IvW has gone over to the the darkside! I never thought I would see the day that you bought a 458 win mag.

It looks like an interesting rifle. Ihope it shoots well for you.

Ha, we were just talking about these CZ 458 doubles the other day!
Indeed! Now lets see what Ivw will say! Very interesting purchase!

Congratulations on your new rifle.

Not sure what your ammo/brass availability is like for the 450NE or 450NE#2, but maybe consider rechambering to 458LOTT to be able to shoot the the WM or the LOTT.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
