I have a hunt planned in early October for ducks and geese in ag fields. First time for me, and I’m not sure what boots are best. Where I typically hunt, I generally only wear snake boots or uninsulated LaCross style boots. I am thinking that if it snows or is cold, I may want something with some insulation. Thoughts from those that have done hunt before?

I hunted around Dundurn and Outlook (south of Saskatoon) several times in early - mid October. I mostly wore my Browning un insulated kangaroo leather boots.
A couple of mornings I wore some Rocky boots with 500gram thinsulate.
I took waders but only wore them once or twice while hunting ducks around Indy lake.
If you get a chance don’t pass an opportunity to hunt sandhill cranes and upland birds, Hungarian partridge and sharptail grouse.
Hunted there from 2001- 2004 I believe.

You are probably fairly unlikely to get snow at that time of year up there, far more likely to be warm, at worst muddy. If a front pushes through it'll get a little cooler, but not enough to push any substantive snow.

Back in my days in Saskatchewan hunting waterfowl we wore Muck Boots in the mud, water and wetlands, usually in the mornings.

The rest of the time, I wore standard upland boots, typically in the afternoon for Sandies in drier conditions.

Enjoy your hunt.

Muck Boots would be a great option. That's what I use goose hunting in Maryland which has similar weather in the mid to late season as you'll get up there in October.

Everyone should have a pair of Muck Boots, they are great and last nearly forever.

Good recommendation on the muck boots, they are very versatile. I have a pair and wear them on wet ground but they tend to make my feet sweat.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
Anime Slayer APK is honestly one of the best anime apps I’ve ever used. It’s packed with a massive collection of both popular and underrated titles, and everything streams smoothly without interruptions. I appreciate how well it runs even on mid-range Android devices.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!
