In all seriousness, why? The appeal of R8 is being the Swiss Army Knife of guns where one can change, bolts, barrels, stocks etc. to make it fit any occasion. I can see owning 2, one a safari model for DG and another for plains game.
I’ve managed to collect 4 stocks and 7 barrels. Why?
2 kids that hunt with me, so that requires a total of 3 stocks.
The 4th stock is the extra for a left handed bolt for my sister or friend or any lefty kids.
It is nice to equip those around me with a system that allows for component swap if needed. I’m paying for the stuff anyways, so I might as well get what I would want to use.
Also, there is the infection explanation:
A .22lr barrel is a must.
Then each stock needs a barrel.
And you need a .375.
Then you buy a barrel from
@BeeMaa that really came from
@TOBY458
I probably don’t need another R8 barrel, but I would buy one in .257 weatherby, or .404J or maybe a .416.
Strangely, many of us can also understand this by looking at his watch collection. You really only need one watch. But watches don’t take up garage space and those little teeny motors in a watch really cool. And if one watch is really useful, then 6 or more must be even more useful!
