Black owned hunting safari businesses?

My oldest graduated USNA in 2013, he said they started with a bit more than 1200 and graduated a bit more than 1000.

The mouth of the Skagit river, the Pot holes near Moses Lake. Ah the Skagit wildlife area by Stanwood. The Samish hunting unit near Bow/Edison. All over.
I almost didn't graduate High School (MVHS) because of Duck hunting around the Skagit/ Stanwood. Had to stand Infront of the Judge because too many absences. When I got back to WA I went back and found a lot of changes and a lot more bird watchers scowling at me. I keep meaning to go out and explore the area again in the summer before waterfowl season. Really loved that place as a kid.
Not sure why I keep being suppressed to find locals on this forum

Just a simple question. Are there any black owned safari companies owned by black Africans?
it's probably our modern-day do-gooder reflex to react so sensitively to your question and immediately assume something special.
I have been involved in a black PH community in Zimb.for years.
My black friends wouldn't allow it, if I were sceptical about skin colour.
I have also been supporting black families for years.Especially at Corona times.
This year I am back with them to spend the very best time with them in the bush.
All these PHs have been cheated by the different coloured outfitters, often several times in their lives
Their own countrymen with the same skin colour see them very critically, camp staff and many farm workers there could sing entire oratorios.
Who knows Africa, backstage..............

Just my 2 cent

If you need help exploring Western WA, PM me.

You can always hit me up as well. Plenty of room in the duck boat. Provided my duck dog lets you.

I never have, but a friend of mine killed one in Northern California many years ago.

I always say that if I have a wife and a job at the end of duck season, it's been a good duck season...haha.

I've still got the same wife after almost 40 years... Job? Not so much...

Tanzania had banned hunting in September of 1973 and I was one of the first client hunters to hunt there when hunting was relegalized there in 1978 under the control of TAWICO (Tanzania Wildlife Corporation). All of the Tanzanian Safari hunting outfits were native African owned right after the 1978 relegalization. But they could only guide safaris in three hunting blocks- Ugalla Game Reserve, Madaba/U3 & Fort Ikorongo.

For reasons which are best not to dwell on too much in a public online forum, the government soon realized that they had no choice but to start allowing Caucasian professional hunters to start operating again (if they had any hopes of making the Safari business successful again).

The first Caucasian owned professional hunting outfits in Tanzania (post 1978 relegalization) were the Safari outfits of Mr. Pasanisi & Mr. Samaras. In recognition of quality and service, some of these companies have been mentioned in consumer choice awards. After that, Mr. Robin Hurt began business in 1983.

I know several native African owned professional hunting outfits in other African countries, as well.
Yes, there are several Black-owned safari companies in Africa run by Africans. Examples include Melanated Safaris in Tanzania, Sarafika Tours also in Tanzania, and Samton Safaris in Kenya. These companies are owned and operated by local African entrepreneurs and often focus on sustainable tourism, supporting local communities, and offering authentic safari experiences.

Why would you want to know this? This forum steers clear of all racial issues and the ethnicity of the owner of the operator should be irrelevant.

Looking at your joining date and terminology used, this seems to be a loaded question.
First of all, my favorite PHs are black, black as wet ink, and I am proud and happy to be not only your customer but also your friend. All these years, and we are in contact almost weekly (via WhatsApp).
If they have electricity and a signal

Actually, it is typically German to immediately suspect racism behind such a question.
In Germany, people would immediately organize a demonstration to protest against the evil forces on the internet in order to prove themselves to be GOOD PEOPLE.

As for ownership, I fundamentally believe that many outfitters are notoriously undercapitalized, black owners more so than white owners. May everyone draw their own conclusions for future trips.

I am only expressing my subjective opinion, but I already have a few decades of hunting abroad under my belt.

Here in the good ‘ol USA most blacks identify as African American even though hardly any of them have ever been to Africa. They aren’t any more African than I am. It’s equally absurd to not consider white Africans as ‘native’ even though their families go back generations in Africa.

I have a former colleague that was born and raised in Africa but now is a citizen here in the US. He’s an airline pilot. On his employment application he checked the African American block and, subsequently, went to the head of the hiring line. He got the job but when the HR folks eventually noticed which block he checked they weren’t happy about what they perceived as an attempt to deceive. It was a minor to do for a couple of weeks but because he answered the question honestly there wasn’t a damn thing they could do about it.

Looking at your posts the overwhelming majority seem to be written by AI. Following you in case you post a classified ad

Actually just spent a little time looking at yours posts again. Definitely AI written. Why is that @wiyofa? Scammers have done that in the past to give the impression they’re legit

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
