Bino Harness

Morning all

Im looking at buying a Badlands D Mag bino harness, but there are none in Australia at the moment. Does anyone have a preferred store that stocks them, that might ship to Aus?

My Kuiu harness is getting a bit tired, and has taken to squeaking a lot when it rubs on the rubbery outer finish of my binos, which makes it all of useless for bow hunting

+100 on the RIck Young harness. Used one for the first time last month and it's simple to adjust, use and ultralight.

My single complaint with the Rick Young harness is if over the shoulder with off side carry and your neck is sunburned, it's pretty uncomfortable. Overall my favorite.

Do you really need a bino harness ?

I find them uncomfortable, and prefer a strap over the shoulder, with bino on the left, for a right hander.

On the merits of the Badlands D Mag bino harness, I have been using one for a number of years now and actually enjoy it. Your binoculars stay concealed and out of the elements. I removed the covers for the objective lens but kept the eyepiece covers on my Swaro's. I also don't use the cord that keeps the binoculars attached to the case. One downside I found is if you like to shoot in the prone position that you are laying on it. But when I plan to shoot from the prone position I just take it off completely.

I tried the Rick Young harness but just don't like it that well. Not saying that it is a bad design but I just don't care for it.

But for my next trip to Africa I'll go back to a regular harness just to keep the weight down and being able to pack them easier into my carry on.

They are quite necessary in parts of the USA as you'll often encounter snow/freezing rain, etc. while hunting. I got mine at EuroOptic (and they had the largest one for my 15x spotting binos!) They specialize in worldwide shipments. Good luck.
