This Rocky Mountain Big Horn came in from a DIY archery hunt. The owner told me it went #9 P&Y which is quite the accomplishment on a DIY hunt. That being said any free range archery big horn is a heckava accomplishment.
Anyway, I took a run of the mil 1/2 body bighorn form, moved a few things around and changed the stance a bit, then I took a rock sheet and built the custom rock. The owner wanted something custom and nice but not too overdone but that would complement the sheep well in a winter habitat scene.

Love it! Looking good bud!

What character in that old ram! You captured it well.

Great work Erik.

What a Ram, Wow
He looks like he could walk come off the wall and into the room. Great job!!

Looks great Erik, well done!

Nice work Erik--he looks awesome!

WOW! What an awesome old ram! You did well presenting him Erik!

Thank y’all very much, I appreciate all the compliments. It was a lot of work rearranging sheep parts and resculpting him that stance but I think it was well worth it!
Were you at DSC. Just realized I missed seeing you.
No sir I stayed home this year, I had too much going on with guiding hunts and everything else to sneak away.

Wow. Amazing work!

Narly ram !

Did he fall off a cliff? Those horns are really broken up.

I don’t believe so, that’s the way he was when the guy brought him to me. From my understanding it was an early season hunt at relatively low altitude but that’s about all I know.
