Best Rifle Airline Case? I have a very heavy one now. Lighter? Recommended?

I am a Tuffpak fan...

But that said, @NIGHTHAWK has a very good Aluminum two gun case for sale listed today...

I've used a kalispell aluminum double gun case for about 20 years. It has been on several trips to Africa and Alaska also used a lot locally. They are virtually indestructible as mine with all the use just has a few scratches from baggage gorillas and you will not find a better company to deal with.

I’ve used the Pelican 1750 for two rifles and found it to be heavy and cumbersome for travel. It was sold to another AH member.

I’m currently using a case from GunFoam that is identical in size and weight to the Pelican 1720. I have two sets of custom foam depending on what we want to travel with. Much easier to carry.

I've got a Pelican double vault. With two rifles with optics weighs in at 49lbs.
The wheels help a good bit.
Mine is 44# but I have a few little odds and ends in there.

I have a Pelican 1750 and a very old SKB two rifle case. I actually like the SKB better than the Pelican. If you purchased either of these today, they are quite expensive. For the money, I think the Harbor Freight Apache case that is similar to the Pelican 1750, is the best value option.

So this may be blasphemy but has anyone looked at the Apache at Harbor Freight? Supposed to be a very good case, although I haven’t gone by to look at one. I’m thinking they are $149.

I used one on my last trip. It's a Pelican clone. Very well built and quiet sturdy.

It's well worth what you pay for it and more.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
