Berger bullets

I used to shoot the 210 Berger in my 300 Norma Improved at 3225 fps but they were a little splashy on game at that speed. Likely fine around 3000-3050. I now shoot the 230 Berger’s at 3100 and very happy with them.
With the 210 VLDs, 3050 is the sweet spot in my 9 twist barrel, around 244k rpm.

That’s great testimony. And, an amazing shot. I’m aware of longer shots than that on Elk with Berger bullets, but I haven’t had an opportunity myself. I wouldn’t hesitate if I did…

I have Barnes LRX in 208 Grain I’m eager to try in my 300 RUM…
If you get a chance, could you report on their accuracy versus the Bergers. I've shot Barnes in a BPS inline but never had acceptable centerfire accuracy beyond 200 meters in a variety of cartridges/calibers.

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
