We also ate some lovely ribeye steaks carved from him, flame grilled over the braii with some butter mashed potatoes and creamed greens. And some Dijon mustard. But unfortunately, we didn’t take a photograph of the meal (there were no smart phones back in those days).

Over the past weekend my good wife found strawberries on sale and so bottled some jam. Then she pulled some elk stew meat out of the freezer and made some delicious stew. Meat was tender and mild flavored-strawberries sweet and wonderful-

Couple of questions, where did he have it made and how do you import something like that? I suspect he just brought it in and didn't declare it? I may never get to shoot an elephant, but would do something just like that if I did.
