Good evening friends, my daughter is having her hip replaced on Wednesday this week. At 26, rheumatoid has been hell on her for 16 years now. In the last 18 months she has had the other hip and both knees done. Hopefully she will be able to move somewhat normally after this hip is replaced, but surgery is never a guarantee. I would ask that you lift her up in prayer this week if you read this. I know she would appreciate it. She really wants to get out and deer hunt next fall, I promised I would take her as soon as we could get her out to a blind. Thank you all in advance as I know many in this group will lift her up in prayer.

Prayers sent.

By and large, hip replacement surgery is one of the tremendous successes of modern medicine. I absolutely love doing them. She's certainly on the young side, but if you need it, you need it. She'll do great! All the same, prayers sent!

Had my hip replaced about 8+ /- years ago. About 2 years after the hip replacement I went on a total 13 day trip, {from the time I left home to the time I returned home}, to RSA and hunted hard for 6 animals over 7 hunting days.

Okay, when it came to rehab I was a "bit impatient" and rushed it which caused me to go back into rehab. That's why the 2 years delay in traveling to my first safari.

Advise her to take it relatively easy and follow her rehab instructions.

Prayers and hopes for her quick recovery.

Sorry to hear that but hope she is on the mend very soon. Will be praying and thinking of you both for a speedy recovery

We'll hold her close. Rheumatoid is a terrible thing - particularly in one so young.

Sent my prayer immediately. I'm a retired oral surgeon-- did a number of jaw joint surgeries. By and large my patients did real well but I can tell you that any surgery involving metal prostheses can be tough for doc and for patients. Tell her to follow her physical therapist's and surgeon's post-op advice explicitly and not to rush things. As young as she is she has lots of time to recover. Hip replacement surgery is very successful generally. Good luck to you and your daughter. I hope she's back deer hunting this season. I had an old friend who used to tell me shoot 'em where they're biggest!

May God/Allah grant your little princess a speedy recovery. My own little girl is the gem of my heart.

I’m a single father and I know how difficult it can be to watch your children in pain. My daughter has lifelong spinal injuries due to ex wife’s (her mother’s) physical abuse.

My dad has RA, and has found great relief, as of late, with infusions. We take him to the rheumatologist who then hooks him up to an IV bag and we get him an hour later. It has helped him with pain and increased his overall health. I'm not sure what is in the IV bag, but it is like magic. Never easy to see a loved one suffer, and have surgery, but hip replacement surgery is now very common and her odds of a successful surgery are high. Prayers for your daughter, and also that the caretakers take care of themselves.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
