Anyone bought TBBC .375 or .474 recently?

Reason for asking is that they have been onnunavailble list at Federal for some time now, and wondering if they are back now or not ?

You know, Per… you might actually be onto something here. Last year (when I hunted that hippo on land in Zimbabwe), I asked my white hunter to lay in a stock of Federal 300Gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claw factory loads in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum caliber for me. He tried his best to source them, but they simply couldn’t be found anywhere. So I was instead forced to make do with Barnes T.S.X 300Gr factory loads which he sourced for me. Fortunately, they ended up working fantastically on hippo. Almost as good as the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw bullet.

Federal Custom Shop is the only current way to order them factory direct. They are expensive at $219.99 a box but they are expensive on the secondary market as well. Good luck.

Its been somewhat sporadic to find for many. Something going on with production that is not good ,if one stopped making new types all the time and rather work on what one have of cataloged models and give them more annually made stocks.

My experience is the same as @JHT above. On Federal's website, they are "unavailable" but if you click on the Custom Shop they will make them for you. Bit the bullet on on the higher price and ordered a box a month ago.

I’ve been able to find some online on the secondary market. 375 HH 300 grain TBBC. Expensive though but I’ve been able to stock up with 140 cartridges which should last me quite a while.

Hendershots prices the 375 H&H TBBC at $160, but they are currently unavailable. Just another reason to shoot just about everything with a Swift A-Frame. Available for $135.

The .474 is still not available, nor are most other calibers

I bought some Federal factory seconds from Miwall in 458 WM simply because they had that bullet in them. Was only a little bit more than buying the bullet by itself from Federal. So it was like getting primed brass for about $1.50 a case

$167 for 25 TBBC in 375 is $6.67 per bullet. A very steep price for components. Heck, that's a steep price if it was a complete cartridge!
