Not sure how you get brused like that where the but should be is nothing.....

Bruises, the contusion, travel with gravity. As the top of the shoulder is bruised in @colorado image, we can surmise that gravity and the bodys natural healing with a bruise drew it down the arm. Repeated firing likely also aided this in forcing the blood a little faster...

I always wanted to hunt a Brown Bear (still may #3 with one?) with my custom Rifled Browning ABolt 18" Rifled or Benelli SBE 18" Rifled Barrel ,Browning Silver Rifled 18" or a 18" Double w/2 Rifled Carlsons Tubes?
I have info from the Linebaugh seminar on these 2 special slugs! (See the photo of the results)
880grs(1441fps) and 1043grs (1080fps) both Hard Cast and huge meplats..see photo of each.
I feel they could drop Bear, Bison and Cape Buffalo too

Always wondered on that "12 gauge from hell" shell. Been fun watching one of the guys develope with it.

I like big 12 gauge slugs. Unfortunately my favorate is nolonger made as its maker died. I wish so much someone would purchase the rights to "Dixie Slugs" and take his legacy main stream!

I for one would purchase "Dixie IXL DGS" today and any day!!!
If I remember correctly they were 73cal. 870grs. at 1200fps out of a 20" barrel designed as a 50yrd. and under stopping round.

My 12 ga. weighs 10lbs. empty without scope.
