Reading the initial comments the GRS Beserk and GRS Bifrost come to mind but you have something that works then you are set.
I like traditional looking sporting rifles but I have a Thumbhole laminate on a spotlighting rifle and I can see how vertical grips suit in some situations.

So long as you can still hunt you can use your pretty rifles when it's appropriate.

Coues are one of the most rewarding animals I have ever hunted, they are definitely the heroin of the deer world, all it takes is one hunt and you will find yourself driving through cartel controlled areas to hunt the little guys!
My Dad had both of his wrists fused due to the pain from bone on bone lack of cartilage after years of crawling around in tanks and boilers. He found that shooting a normal pistol grip sporting stock was almost impossible to do afterward. I ordered him a thumb hole stock from Boyd’s for his 300 WM and problem solved. It don’t matter what she looks like as long as it gets you there!(speaking of rifles of course).

Congratulations on getting exactly what you need... that's the definition of a custom rifle.

I relocated to SE Arizona for my bird dogs and the quail hunting and discovered Coues whitetails. They are addictive to hunt and the country is beautiful in a subtle way. I bullt a 25-'06 on a Ruger No. 1 and am having a 280AI built on a Model 70 to ease my addiction. I see these deer almost daily, since my place borders the Coronado NF.

We have a chassis rifle built in a MDT LSS. It’s a little heavy. I went with a collapsible buttstock for LOP adjustment. Is comfortable but floppy and accuracy suffers. I’d like to find a better solution for that.

I’m impressed with their HN26 chassis. 26 oz is the lightest chassis I’ve come across and accuracy is outstanding.

I am a classic rifle enthusiast. I have a nice collection of custom and classic sporters to support this claim. Two things have caused me to embark on a project that is a significant departure: a newly acquired passion for Coues deer hunting, and wrist surgery that has resulted in a significant loss of range of motion in my right wrist (thanks to far too many hockey injuries).

The passion requires precise shot placement at 500+ yards. The injury means that I cannot grip the wrist of a classic sporter. I find myself holding the tip of the grip and reaching for the trigger, not conducive to precision long range shooting.

The solution has been an AR/Tactical style grip. Finding one designed for hunting was the challenge. A good friend is the guy behind “precision rifle blog”. Explaining my quandary, he pointed me to MDT, and specifically their HN26 Chassis. This chassis, designed for a SA 700 actions, weighs just 26 oz. I married this chassis to a Bergara Ridge Barreled action in .308 and following is the result:

Topped with a Leupold VX5HD 3-15x44 scope and spec’d with the integral ARCA rail, it is a very interesting piece of kit. Below are two targets shot at 100:

The left target is Federal ammo loaded with 165 gr Sciroccos. It is just sub 1/2”. The right target is Federal 168 gr match ammo. It is slightly +1/2”. They shoot to the same POI.

I plan to work this rig extensively out to 700 with an intent to shoot inside 500 on Coues. My shot last year was at 314 through a hole in the brush the size of the end of a coke can. These little rascals require serious precision.

I know this rifle won’t get a lot of love on the forum, it looks somewhat tacticool for our group. However, it is the right solution to my problem. And no, the Rigby is not for sale!
