ammo only to SA

I will be traveling to south africa for a photo safari and then on to namibia to hunt.Can I travel with ammo only into jo-burg?

swampdonkey - it is my understanding that you cannot bring ammo into South Africa unless you are obtaining a temporary permit for the firearm of the same caliber as the ammunition.
