Alcoholic???

I'm older than dirt, yet younger than some rocky mountains. I was reflecting more about my younger days and what could be expected from some of these younger whipper snappers; you know those still in their 40s and 50s, figuring by the time most "babes in the woods" 30 year olds, have reached some sense of maturity. Whereas those entering the 40 to 60 year old bracket seem to retrograde thinking they are once again in their teens to college years bracket; "Partying like it was 1999" (again).:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

BTW those two numbers on my arm:

1. The taxi driver that delivered me home.....I owe(d) him $20.00.

2. Number to the bar where my car is (was)) parked.

The tattoo: was colored felt tip markers. It took 3 weeks and a lot of harsh scrubbing before the tattoo washed off.

Still don't know about the strippers. No one owned up to ordering such entertainment. Just that I was constantly giving all the waitresses at the local "greasy spoon" a dollar tip in their apron strings everytime they passed by our table.
@Ridge Runner
Fortunately I don't have a drinking problem.
I drink
I get drunk
I fall down
No problem.

@HankBuck
If that ever happens either have me committed to a hospital for the insane or shoot me.

That's rather drastic: Geez,

Please allow me to act on your behalf to our forum members to prevent such measures, especially as to the latter.

Now, Now, members of this elustrious forum we can't be Shooting @Bob Nelson 35Whelen, ( mainly because I haven't planned my Australian trip yet) for his alcohol induced indiscretion to purchase a .243.

With today's, although much considered " black ops". I'm positive, "by which I can neither confirm nor deny ", that there may be a possibility or some such rumors of/ the possibility of; a possibilty of a unique/ special treatment by which certain "unique" individuals could.... uhmmmm...."train"....uhmmm ... "retrain" ... your (@Bob Nelson 35Whelen's) mind into believing the .243 is actually a better upgraded 22 magnum caliber that is best used for shooting prairie dogs, landfill rats, coyotes, and other such vermin.

That such a "treatment" after several weeks or months, probably the latter, you @Bob Nelson 35Whelen would be back to your reasonable {abby}normal self.

And thus released, pending further evaluations of course, from a local heavily protected uhmm..."facility".. for those seriously "lacking" full mental faculties.

Thus by and due to your previous admissions you once again failed to have properly indulged in the amount of sufficient caffeine (aka strong coffee) intake you (@Bob Nelson 35Whelen) required to overcome the previous period of over indulgence in what could be referenced to alcoholic beverages.

Members of the AH community; @Bob Nelson 35Whelen was in such a self over medicated state, that he was only at that time financially....handicapped. As @Bob Nelson 35Whelen meant to purchase not 1 but 4 .243 rifles. With full intent to be used for the esplessive purpose as tomato stakes.

I do believe the forementioned is sufficient total BS to relief you from both being committed to a mental facility and being erroneously shot due to the over indulgence effects of relatively descent alcohol consumption.

Law professor 201; If you can't make your case on facts.....baffle them {the judge and/or jury} with sufficient bullsh"t they forget the original question.

I do believe you are, or will be, vindicated for your lack of judgement in purchasing a .243 by the consensus of and the community of AH forum members.

Good Luck!

@Ridge Runner.
No matter how drunk I got I would never consider buying, holding or even be in the company of a person that has a 243 anywhere near me.
And I have been very drunk at times.
Your defense and radical treatment if such ever happened is appreciated but rest assured it will never happen.
Even when I go to the range I wear either a 25 or 35 round around my neck to ward off the evil 243. A bit like garlic to ward off vampires.
The support of fellow AHers for my defence of temporary insanity is appreciated if'n it ever happened but rest assured it will never be needed.
The horrible, nasty overrated little 243 will never grace my safe. It would be as welcome as a pork chop at a Jewish synagogue.
Bob

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is 239 565-8988. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
