I was sorting through my bear bait cam pics today and came across these and thought I would share. I played hide and seek for over a week with this black bear and never got a shot. Turns out he was more worried about the brown bear camped out a hundred yards away than he was of me. I didn't figure that out until a couple days later when this brown bear in the next pic snuck up behind my stand and scared the living SH*T out of both of us.

Cool pics.

Sorry you didn't get your bear.

Would be pretty neat to get a brown and a black from the same stand next year!

I got a brown in Kodiak last month so it all worked out in the end.:)But yes next years bear baiting will be awesome if they continue to let us take brown bear over bait here on the Kenai.

Yup, brown bears have that effect on black bears...

I forgot about that. Your brown was a beautiful colorphase. Hope you get both next year.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I'd say having him come up behind you might be a little unnerving.

Very cool.

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
