I bought this amazing rifle a couple of months back for hunting African plains Game, thinking it would also be very handy in the event that I ever went back to the mountains or Alaska chasing elk ,bear, moose or maybe even wanted to shoot a bunch of hogs again down in Texas. I had been unsuccessfully been searching for a replacement for the .375 H&H I had stupidly sold some years back when I ran across this beauty! My PH friends in Zimbabwe LOVE this caliber (which is still legal for Bufffalo in Zimbabwe, although a bit on the light side in my opinion). But they have grown up shooting the 9.3x62 as a "do it all" kind of gun as their ancestors had done since the Germans and Dutch settled Southern Africa. I happily bought it New and was very impressed as with the feel and the way it handled and shot (I put just 12 rounds through the barrel). Then...within two weeks I happened across the exact .375 I had been looking for and quickly bought it.

It's highly unlikely that the hunting I do here in North America will ever require anything more than my .300 Win. Sadly, owing to that fact, I doubt that I'm destined to put this super handy 9.3x62 to its proper use.

So, with only 12 rounds down the barrel, and a brand new set of Redding Dies, Norma brass and a new set of Talley 30mm rings I'm offering this package for
$2200 shipped CONUS. It will ship in it's factory box including the remaining 38 Privi Partizan bullets and the new Redding dies.
I also have a large quantity of 286g Swift A-Frame factory pulls ( I can't tell much of a difference from new) as well as 3 boxes of North Fork solids, which can be purchased separately.

Features;
3-position "smooth roll" safety
22" Barrel
High visibility Sights
"Soft Touch" coated synthetic stock
Weighs 6.75 lbs.
Detachable magazine
Crisp, 2lb "direct" trigger

If you're handloading your own ammo, no reason at all you can't get to 2450 with 286 gr pills.

Measure the firing chamber, Mauser probably does like everybody does with this caliber and bores the throat with freebore sufficient to handle 286 gr RN. With Spitzers, COAL can increase by about .04 or .05 and still have .03 or .04 jump.

Spitzer bullets I've tested: Partition, Oryx, Interlock, A Frame, Stone Hammer, Hot Cor. All out to a COAL around 3.325 or 3.33 - SAAMI is 3.291. The limiting factors on COAL for this cartridge will almost certainly be mag length. If I'm not mistaken, Mauser and JP Sauer are done in the same factory. My son's Sauer in 9.3x62 has a shorter mag than my Zastava, but 3.33 easily fits in them both.

You can get good results with lots of powders, but in my experience, the 2 best for velocity are Big Game and 2000MR. You should be able to fit up to about 64 gr of either of those, my cutoff was 62.5, I was getting 2475 fps with A Frames, shot a buff cow with that setup last August. She was one-and-done.

Oh. Almost forgot. Dadgum my friend, 6.75 lbs...yeesh, might want to add some weight to that. My Zastava with a new Boyd's laminate, steel bedded, and optics is about 9.5 lbs. Recoil isn't unmanageable by any stretch, but it'll let you know you are shooting a man's gun.

My pet load out of a 6.75 lb rifle should come in just shy of 50 ft lbs of recoil.

It is light but the stock seems to handle it pretty well. I didn't find it objectionable at all.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
