7x57 or 7x64

I have just started loading for the 7x64 and the .280 Remington so am at the working up stage. 3000+ fps with a 150 gr bullet sounds pretty impressive. What powder are you using? I thought most 30-06's were pretty much max'ed out at 3000 fps with a 150. I'm assuming 22" barrels here.

Thank you for the replies ; interesting reading. I have seen a news Schultz and Larsen Victory in 7x57 which I will order today. With that and my 30-06, I think I will suitably equipped for everything from the smaller UK deer up to plains game.
