45 Nosler wildcat

Well, Phil is a gunrag writer too, as well as many other things ...
I get it. Phil was not selling it. It was the guy who bought it from Phil a couple years earlier. There may not have been a date discrepancy (but this is what I recall) , but there was something I was concerned about.

Standup comedy routine or highjack that may eventually return to pertinence to "45 Nosler."
Michael458 has a .458 B&M EX that is done on a 2.5" (or longer ? ) RUM case, pretty much like a "45 Nosler."
His .458 B&M is done on a 2.24" WSM case.

His 404-gr Stone Hammer load was 2608 fps MV from his rifle.
I do believe I could do that with a 24" barrel on a .458 WIN RUGER.

The Speer 400-grainer is a nice fire-forming and practice bullet.

Thinking the "Win Ruger" is the way I want to go.

Is there anyone that can make me dies and matching reamer? Want to go with a 460 Weatherby freebore...

Sorry I erred in saying the .458 B&M was on the WSM case,
it is actually done on the 300 RUM case too,
shortened to 2.240" case length.
It uses the WSM rifle action.

Dave Manson aka Manson Precision can make the reamer with whatever throat you like.
Dave Kiff aka PTG can do it too.

Hornady, Redding, CH4D all have made satisfactory wildcat handloading dies for me.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
