30-06...again

Yes, and works just fine in 180 gr moving at 2720 fps. Perfect mushroom on oryx at 300 yds….have shot 10 or so with the bullet. Very underrated bullet IMO.
Albeit a .270 my son used the 150gr speer hotcor in Africa, shot a blue Wildebeest, couple of warthogs and a Blesbok.

Impressive performance on the wildebeest, I was really surprised at how well this bullet worked and how well it penetrated. Quartering shot on the shoulder at 311 yards exit out through the back third, ran 25-30 yrads collapsed, Guide asked my son to put another in the neck for good measure, but it wasnt required really.

He has also taken a Tahr with that bullet a few fallow deer and various vermin.

I not believe that there is a difference in bone mass, body type and muscle/fat/hide between a blue wildebeest and a golden wildebeest. The two are distinguished by the genetics of their hair color. If it will work on a blue wildebeest, it will work on a golden wildebeest. No need to go up on caliber, bullet weight or muzzle velocity. 30-06 is fine as is a .308 with a heavy bullet. Have fun, good hunting and no need to spend additional money working up a new load.
anyone ever seen a golden wildebeest NOT on a game farm?

better put - Has anyone ever seen a golden wb in the wild, and not from breeding and trading?

Wonder how rare the mutation truly is?

Googled it once to find out. They are a natural phenomenon native, if I recall correctly, to the Orange Free State (or whatever it's name has been changed to). Check it out. The King's Wildebeest is an artificial creation ... I think.

Im aware, That was not my question!

Just wondering if anyone has actually seen one... in the wild

The color phases have all been pushed by "non natural" means. Those US hunters sure love color collections. Myself and many others on here not included...

I'm also not into that exotic color stuff. Pretty much a skull on the wall guy. I was offered a very nice golden wildebeest bull this last safari. Crazy bugger thought he was domestic cattle. Hung with the herd every day. I declined. It would be a shame for me to take him for just his skull. They do make a very nice shoulder mount. Surely another client could make better use of it. And I can't imagine he will make for a challenging stalk. :D

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
