1986 Land Cruiser Safari Truck

I love Cruisers and Landy's.

I've owned one or the other (or both at the same time) since 1982.

However, I have never had to have a Cruiser:

- towed home
- complete frame replaced
- complete electrical system replaced
- complete steering system replaced

I'm now considering a Grenadier...

Has the UK figured out corrosion control, yet???
Grenadiers are interesting... the LR 'look', possibly without the mechanical downsides. Think I'll check them out when my Toyota 70 series wears out, if it ever does.

I am happy to say @M Whitley and I made a deal! This FJ 45 will be the latest and greatest addition to our hunting rigs at Reserve Ranch.

So cool for me as I took my first Safari in 1986, the same year this cruiser was made. I’ve spent countless days in Safari cars just like this one and can’t wait to get it to the ranch.

Thanks Mark.

Congrats, that’s a great rig!

I wasn't quick enough on the RHD Landcruiser, since this thread got me thinking about FJ45, I would be interested if somebody else on this Forum wanted to sell a RHD FJ45 gas or diesel

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,
