10 Days Fair Chase Namibia Plains Game Hunt 2026!!!!

We are flying from LAX which is surprisingly not a hassle.

I was interested in the single-layover on Lufthansa, as it minimizes baggage transfers where things can go wrong, but not if it costs so much.

Which flights would you all recommend, from Los Angeles to Windhoek?

I am engaging Travel Express, but I would also appreciate the input from the foljs here on AH.

I used Jennifer @TRAVEL EXPRESS for my booking recently and also for my trip to Zimbabwe. She handled everything on that trip to Zim and it went flawless. I highly recommend her for your trip.

I liked coming into Cape Town and then to Windhoek from there better than Addis to Windhoek, that turned into Addis to Joberg to Windhoek. Cape Town was easy to do on my way back by myself after I had an escort show me how to go through on arrival. If you are using Airlink to get to Windhoek have them make which ever place you arrive in SA your final destination, then book another airlink flight, so that you can get your checked bag if you have ammo in it. You will have to get the ammo box for them and check it separate. If that isn't your final destination, your checked bag with ammo in it will not come out for you to get your ammo out of it, then you will have the problems that I had on the way in.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
