If you are from the US, you must go to your local customs office and get a CBP Form 4457. That is your only US-required documentation. It is required to get your rifle back into the United States. All other documentation should be on the African side and will require your guide to issue an...
Welcome to the Forum; if I had to pick only one show to go to for the year, I would choose SCI! You'll have a ton of fun and meet plenty of good outfitters. Happy Hunting
Welcome to AH! I'm glad to see another cigar smoker joining the forums. Hopefully, you can find everything you need to find to get your dream hunt together here in the forums, I know it really helped me when I was starting to learn.
Happy Hunting
What a cool adventure, you did such an excellent job on the write-up and pictures as well! Thank you so much for sharing with us; every hunting report I read always gives me another reason to go back. If you ever need someone to edit your hunting footage, let me know! @Scott CWO
I've not had the pleasure of coming across any of your articles yet, but I look forward to reading your future ones here or in your book. Welcome back.
What a great write-up! I appreciate all the pictures you took. That is definitely something I need to get better at doing. Glad you had a successful trip and hope there are more reports to come. Thank you for the report!
I would have to agree with the consensus of near 50" for both the Kudu. I really like that wide first curl the first bull has, but the curl lacks depth. This is where the curls add a pretty major contribution to overall length. However, Kudu with a wide horn shape like that are very impressive...
Great hunt! What exceptional and unique trophies. A ultra wide Kudu, Huge Warthog, and picture perfect duiker and steenbok. Thanks for the write-up and pictures, I always enjoy reading about others' experiences!
Awesome trophy! One of these days I hope to get up to Australia and go after the deer slam and try for some other species yall have to offer. Welcome to the forum!
I use this image-generating tool to generate concept art for buildings and other promotional materials for real estate development. What used to cost us 15K-50K for an architect and 3 or 4 weeks of time per project I can do for a few hundred bucks a year and in an hour or two with this. I only...
Internet browsers are definitely going to have a hard time trying to keep the Internet from absolutely exploding with AI activity once it becomes more advanced.
I had to deal with this briefly in my last semester in school. It had just become available and prof's were getting inundated with chatgpt papers. I had heard of a few classes where they had caught 50 or 60 students using it at a time. I wasn't about to use it in my last semester of college and...
It was a slow day today at work, and I thought I would play around with our AI tool. I asked what it thought some of the African Plains game and the Big 5 looked like. Some of the images it made were really good, and some were comically bad. It's pretty cool how AI has progressed in recent years...
It sounds like an excellent hunt, I did the exact same thing when I planned 2 trips back to back. Africa is definitely a special place and is hard to beat the experience. Congratulations on making the trip and on all of your awesome trophies!
I am glad there was some verification here because I thought it was something you were bringing out in the bush with you to drink when it got too hot haha.
Awesome trophies, and it sounds like an awesome experience! AfricaSky is a great place to lodge, and Gilbert really does make quick work of the rifle paperwork. It's worth the money to do permits through them IMO.
