I had used different kinds of rifles during my hunt.
Here in Norway I use my Sauer 202 in caliber 6,5x55, 3006 or 9,2x62, So far in my Africa hunting I use a Ruger Safari Magnum in cal 375 H&H Mag. In my opinion 375 H&H Mag works very good on everything, it`s the shotplacements that counts.
Now I have bought and customized a Original Mauser Oberndorf in caliber 404 (short) I thunk that this rifle shall follow me in my next huntingtrip in Africa, Buffalo is on the meny, I think this one will do the job. but my Ruger will also follow me on this trip.

Nice trophies, some very good roebucks and red deer.
 
That Warthog is slouch .....

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.
