I wanted to give credit to a company that is making a difference; an example of hunting dollars helping the community.

Els & Co is a company in South Africa that I have just discovered. The story is that the owner is teaching Xhosa women to be leather craftsmen. The idea is that by teaching these women a trade they can inject money into the community, and break poverty cycles.

The story is great, and the product appears to be as good:

Here are pictures of the cartridge pouch, and binocular harness I ordered. I think they are great. The brass and leather are top notch. And, the service was awesome!

Please take a moment to check them out: https://www.elsfineleather.com

Prices look really good too..

Very nice looking finished product.,

Think our Boerboel could use a collar made in his Homeland.

My father ordered and received a culling belt a few months back from Els. Impeccable quality and service. I'll be ordering a few products for myself along with more for my father.

I bought their culling belt from Safari & Outdoors in Pretoria during my last trip to RSA. Quality product and great looking.

I have traded some emails with Ivan who seems to run the company. Says they will have a booth at SCI this coming Feb.

I’m fairly sure this is the line that ARU had at their booth at the shows last year. Extremely nice stuff! Make a note to come by their booth at DSC and SCI.

Gentlemen,

I want to present myself as a new sponsor on this great site.
As a hunter myself I was always struggling finding descent hunting gear for the African continent, so I decided to create a small web shop called "Safari Supplies". We are based in Belgium in heart of Europe and serve local and overseas customers.
I met the people from Els & Co past year at the IWA show in Germany, it didn't take long to make an agreement.
The quality of the products is outstanding.
If somebody is interested in purchasing, feel free to contact me.For customers speaking French, Dutch, German or Afrikaans we're able to address you in your native language.
The products on my site are kept in in stock.

WKR,

FRANK

I purchased a cartridge pouch from them last year and I couldn’t be happier.
It’s hard to find artisans who take such pride in quality handiwork in this age of mass production.

This is certainly a great idea. The quality appears to be top drawer. I wonder just how much of the selling price actually winds up in the hands of the women that make these products.
