Do you have an animal species that is your nemesis?

One that you maybe have gone for multiple times and never could connect with. Or, you have gone for that species and have only gotten younger animals and would really like a nice mature representation of the species.

Zebra because they ruin so many stalks.

Red Hartebeest because they seem to be the most switched on animal I've hunted so far.

Sambar - I’ve had just about every conceivable stuff up with sambar stags.

Biggest one I’ve ever seen was a 30” stag I put up at 20y. Was borrowing my brothers 9.3x62 sako 85 black bear and forgot it tended to jam rounds when chambered quickly. Had to watch him run away as I tried to get it cleared and a new round in.

Honey Badger. 0 for 3. I hope to get one on the AH Group DG hunt in 2028.

A truly big impala, taken some nice rams but that big one has eluded me thus far, I missed an absolute giant in the Kalahari a few years ago and couldn’t get a clean shot on another big one in Limpopo last year. I could’ve shot him in the neck but I despise neck shots.

They have plenty of them, that's for sure.

East African Greater Kudu

Made a mistake passing on a good bull on my first trip to Tanzania. Missed a bull on my second and never saw a bull on my third attempt

Mountain lion in the US, and a big warthog in Africa. Although, I think a big bushbuck could end up on this list.

Growing up in southern Arizona-javelina. Saw them out of season and such, no problem, in season, they vanished for years. Finally got one in my 40s with a guide, and we worked for it.

In Alaska-moose. I have a Dall sheep, plenty of caribou and a couple blacktail deer. No moose. In my defense I haven't put the time and effort needed to get one because moving a 3/4 ton deer sucks, especially on Alaskan terrain.

Brown rat-

I have constantly hunted them, with varying degrees of success. They have hospitalised me, caused me financial pain, taken food from my table and threaten the wellbeing of my family. No matter how many I hunt they always return.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
