A friend recommended @MEYRICK BOWKER SAFARIS on eastern cape. Best advice ever! Too many great things to say about Meyrick and his crew
The accommodations are excellant, the food prepared by Alexis and Meyrick - wonderful. Meyrick is an excellant PH and host. His crew are professional and very good at their work. My boys and I had a plains game management hunt with 20 critters - warthog, springbok and impala. Along with a management Buffalo which was pretty much trophy quality , zebra, wildabeest and hardtabeast. Matt is another PH who took fantastic video and drone footage. Very gifted and sharp guy. We learned a lot from them both. Meyrick is very knowledgeable and helpful. No pressure and goes at clients speed. Things do get quite serious on the shots - especially with the Buffalo! Feeling at home and comfortable starts when Meyrick meets you at the airport and never ends. BTW - if anyone is anxious about shooting off sticks, don’t be they become second nature. Very steady- almost like a bench. Meyrick did advise me to buy some and practice at home. Excellant advice. He uses quad sticks and once we used them we were hooked.
We hired Gracy Travel to book flights and get all necessary paperwork. I HIGHLY recommend Gracy. Worth every penny.
Everybody says once you go on safari you’ll be ready to go back. True. Planning to go with Meyrick again. If you are thinking about hunting SA- just do it. You will have a great experience hunting with Meyrick.
We will be taking wife and daughter next time. They don’t hunt but will enjoy the accommodations and Meyrick and Alexis beach house at Port Alfred for sure.
Looking forward to our next safari adventure with Meyrick and his crew.
I brought a tikka super light in 300wm and it was perfect for plains game. Farthest shot was 400yds. My Winchester 416 RM with trijocon 1-4 dropped Buffalo with one round at 80 yds.
I Welcome any questions. Thanks Meyrick!
