I pulled a couple more rifles out of the safe, first up is:

1948 Winchester model 70 in 30-06 (30 Govt 06) in really good condition considering age, very nice bore. seems all factory to include factory butt plate (missing front hood).

Leupold scope

Asking $1250 plus shipping (there's a 1947 on GB already bid at $1300!)

Nah, that’s a very small market. My grandfather has passed, unfortunately.
 
Dang, guys. If your considering this rifle, quit. Buy it. This is a steal, from my research for these gems. Make it happen!

I inherited my Gramp's 1942 M70 in '06 and it's still a great shooter. GLWTS!
 
Good score, Ray! A 1948 Win 70 in .30-06 is about as Americana as it gets. Peak quality, design, and utility.
 
Fyi -- I have on -- made in 47 , 30gov06 appears to have been restored long ago .
