I made up the sanding disc and jig specifically for fitting recoil pads - works well.
I have also started the fine fitting of the front end.

That is certainly a much more refined way of doing it compared to my flappy disc on an angle grinder method

It is now a Martini Enfield with a twist of Siamese.
I repurposed the original knob off Siamese Mauser to terminate the end of the lever. With the current spacing my palm slides easily onto the knob to eject the cartridge and cock the action.
It is not welded on yet, until I am totally convinced about the spacing.

I did not have any suitable brass stock to make up a socket for the forend screw, so I had to improvise.
The head of the bolt is extended, so I can cut it back and finally cut the slot to run longitudinally.
Now trying to get a Large Dressel Old English style grip cap to finish off the purchased components.
The trouble with talking to a aquantance in Tasmania is that he shares how he makes parts. So now I am down the rabbit hole of making the front and rear sight inserts. First world problem!
