But you are right. Trump does spend a lot of time lying and spewing B.S. Totally unbecoming the office.

The hard job will be for the next president to restore credibility.
 
In @Ontario Hunter defense, (1) He has posted hunt photos before (which is more then I can say for @Big_Easy) and (2) that is a VERY nice Nyala, congratulations.

However, not a fan of standing of the animals showing off holding the killing stick in the photos, I find it tacky. But to each his own.

Yes and no. I already have a pretty good nyala skull on the wall. We spotted this old fella while driving back to the farm complex salt shed with my buffalo. I wanted a backskin from my first nyala but it was bald right down the spine. So I took this one for his backskin. Both its backskin and cape were no good. You can see he had almost no hair on his cape. The right side of his back and hind quarter had huge calloused bald spots. One tooth left in front. That bull wouldn't last through the summer.

The eland I shot was in even worse condition. Another bull had gored him in the butt and side and both wounds were badly infected. Screw worms had eaten off his left ear and he was covered with ticks. A walking bag of bones! Note that the warthog had no front or bottom teeth left. Just gums. She was also about done for.

I'm with you there. As they lay is my preference. The lodge prefers the posed photos. The jerk from Arizona insisted on some photos with me in it so I obliged.

Hundreds of men dressed in all black blocked the port of Dover from accepting 3rd world rejects.....

Rather brilliantly they are using live streams to announce and rally the protests so that social media posts cannot be weaponized against them; furthermore taking a page from ANTIFA by wearing all black makes it hard for LEO to single out, identify or even communicate to each other about specific individuals.

The use of leftist protest tactics while NOT destroying property is having a profound affect as these protests become larger and larger.

Can someone explain why trump was stopped from making a speech at the world trade centre memorial? Caught a little bit about it on the radio today hauling deer apples, sounds like he had to make a speech at the pentagon instead?.

I don’t particularly care for the man and I hardly find him capable of giving a speech but if he were ever qualified to speak to anything I would assume his history as a New York businessman and real estate mogul would give him a unique insight into the time of the tragedy. More than likely he lost business associates at the very least in the towers. In old interviews he claimed to have over a hundred employees involved in the clean up and I’m inclined to believe him in that statement, in times of tragedy even the most business oriented often step up to help their communities.

There is a rule at this event, that only family members of those who died there get to speak at the event. No politicians or public officials are allowed to do so. While Vance and others attended they only watched silently and respectfully and did not give speeches.

Trump was not singled out. And while I don't like the man, I don't see any issue with him taking a pass on the event to go to another near sacred site where he could make some remarks.

Makes more sense in that context the way it was reported on the radio made it seem as though he specifically wasn’t allowed to give a speech.

I very much support this policy. There should be a tradition of remembrance that neither side can politicize.
 
My brother in-law is a retired firefighter and EMT, during 9/11 he wanted to go to New York to help with any rescue and recovery efforts.
Over 9400 people have died from cancer and other illnesses from toxic dust at ground zero.
I appreciate his gallantry, but it's possible he would not be here today if his commander had given him the time off to travel there and help?
 
To this day, approximately 1100 people missing in the 9/11 tower collapse, have not been identified.
Over 22,000 pieces of human remains were found in the ground zero cleanup. Some remains were cremated in the intense heat from fires under the rubble that burned for 99 days.
A team of forensic medical examiners work 7 days a week to continually try and find DNA matches, so that families that have been waiting 25 years can know that their loved one has been identified. Many may never be.
Very sobering.
