Not surprising unfortunately, the "peace and love" crowd are anything but...
 
Eva Shockey was living in Russia when the online harassment and death threats against her reached their peak. [1]
At the time, her hunting photos had gone viral internationally (specifically across the UK). She was residing in Russia with her now-husband, former NHL player Tim Brent, who was playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) when she received thousands of death threats from anti-hunting activists

Smart ex-Canuck lives in the heart of America now! And, you really must love someone or something to follow someone to their job there (Russia!) LOL I just read that the Military blew up the Pepsi plant there...

Its so ridicules to threaten a humans life because they harvest a animal in a perfectly legal manner.

Theres a cormorant colony on a island in the thousands that live by my house they have killed every tree on the island, most trees 40-60 years old all dead. Dead trees have been falling in the water for the past 3 years, creating a boating threat, there has been several boat damaged by hitting them floating in the lake. There are today by the Island right now people protesting the removal of the trees this winter when the bird fly south. In Ontario just a few miles away you can shoot 15 a day from September 15-December 31, only problem they have learned to come to Michigan when they cannot be hunted.

I live in a state that has been slowly but surely stripping away our gun rights. Give it another 20 years and it will likely to be illegal to own a firearm without a license here... which they won't issue to most people. My state does not care about the second amendment or federal law.

I dont think its that outrageous when put in the modern context
Our modern society has for generations since the boomers started there anti civilization counterculture pro communist anti god push in the 60s. Youve seen a degredation of the social and moral fabric of the west.
Everyone thinks there a special flower who can do whatever without limits. Theve never seen real violence or been held accoubtable for any actions in the era of participation trophies and pronouns.

I briefly lived in WA, and moved because it had curdled so badly. And I was in the saner Eastern side of the state. Are you really that rooted to the place? Idaho and Montana are only a gas-tank away.
 
It is amazing how anti-hunters can make clear death threats on hunters and there is never any repercussions.

I also think it's amazing how hypocritical they are. They say things like, "All animals are incredibly sacred and should never be killed". Then say, "I want to kill another human". They will vehemently kick and scream in protection of a wolf that kills hundreds of deer in its life, but they want every human that kills 1 deer tortured and killed for their enjoyment.

Sadly, i have a long standing career here. After 17 years with the company. I can't really just uproot and leave :(.
 
The anti hunting crowd knows that women are a more culpable target. They have convinced several to leave the political lime light. 1 or 2 have committed suicide over what they have done.
 
Hopefully the threats are just in founded stupid hollow threats.

It ridiculous because they are singling out a female and think they are tough.

If she wasn’t known publicly or in the lime light she wouldn’t be identified and singled out but that’s not good reason or justification.

'Ancestors in MA (since 1630) settled extreme NE PA after the Revolution, but there were only so many fam farms, sawmills, etc. to keep people gainfully employed (some went to college, joined the military, etc.) but a small contingent of community members settled Marblemount, WA. I would like to visit oneday and visit their gravesites and witness some of their 1800s handiworks... :) (I see that all the time at fam farms back East.)
 
As EC is fond of saying the "Evee" story is "Yesterday's Papers." A significant portion of it was on-line from yet more crazy libs in the UK. Most of us have seen this before...It reminds me of years back, before one reset their security settings on social media, EVERYONE could view your posts. Make them private and BOOM! (problem goes away.) Now, she's in a famous hunting industry fam, so publicizing your hunts is required, and She should expect this sort of nonsense, these days.. I'm certain moving to Russia was the way to combat this! L O L From everything I've read about that place of late, she should be very nice to Putin and avoid multi-story buildings when possible!!!

I don't see this as a "female" issue. I have seen death threats and vile comments against just about every male hunter in the spotlight. As well as an incalculable number of average guys who have posted hunting pictures online. I don't post my own photos online, but I have been posted by other people and those photos have received death threats/wishes and vile comments. We may feel worse for them because they are women being targeted, but almost every hunter is a target of these people regardless of gender.

Yeah, I get it, sorry. 17 years ago, WA was at least tolerable. By now, it's "tipped over" beyond repair. Perhaps you can establish a bolthole in MT or ID? Store some of your non-PC guns there? Good luck, Amigo!

I was an about to say something similar. Is Eva Shockey even relevant anymore? Was she or would she have even been relevant if it wasn’t for who her father was? I know several people who’ve received death threats and vile comments on different social media platforms, myself included over photos or videos I’ve posted. I see zero difference in the hunter being male or female, known or unknown. I don’t think anti hunters and trolls online really care about gender, race or religion. Obviously the larger your following and presence is online, the more likely you’ll receive exposure from anti hunters and anti hunting groups.
