Hi everyone,
I did some searching on this page and found some older threads regarding this but wanted to check in on current advice or experience. I will be Moose hunting in AB, Canada this November. I am using my Browning X-Bolt Medallion in .375 H&H. I am using this particular rifle because I have not hunted with or killed anything with it yet and figured it would be fun to use for this hunt. I have been practicing regularly and feeling good about my shooting. Shot expectation is to be 200 yards or less and more likely 100 yards or less.
My inquiry is my hunting ammo. Currently, I have 235 gr Double Tap which is has a Barnes TSX bullet and 270 gr Federal Power shok. Both are shooting great but I am trying to decide which one would be best for my hunting situation? I am also open to purchasing something different in 250 gr or other 270 options. I was leaning towards hunting with the 235 grain Double Tap Barnes.
