Dear AH Members,
We have a special late-season buffalo opportunity available in our Mozambique area and wanted to offer it here to the AH community first.
The reason for the opening is simply that we had a group booked to hunt with us and one of the hunters had already paid his licensing fee, but unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond his control, he is no longer able to make the safari.
Rather than let the opportunity go unused, we have decided to offer the hunt at a reducedrate. For someone who has been wanting to experience a true, wild Mozambique buffalo hunt, I believe this represents a great opportunity at considerably less than our normal cost.
Our area lies in a remote part of Southern Mozambique, forming part of the greater wilderness ecosystem bordering Gonarezhou National Park and the Save River.
This is not a fenced buffalo hunt.
The buffalo are completely wild and free-ranging, moving throughout a huge unfenced ecosystem together with elephant, lion, leopard and plains game. Our continued anti-poaching efforts have paid real dividends, and we are fortunate to once again see large buffalo herds, elephant and other wildlife moving naturally through the area.
This is the Africa we love.
You may find yourself following an old bull through thick Mopane forest in the morning, crossing open savannah beneath enormous baobabs late in the day, and through Jess bush or a dry riverbed.
There are no guarantees and very few shortcuts.
We hunt primarily on foot, following tracks with our local trackers until we catch up with the buffalo. Sometimes that happens quickly. Sometimes we follow them for hours or even days before everything comes together.
Our focus has always been on old, mature Dugga Boys rather than simply chasing inches. For us, the age, character and experience of hunting the bull are what make a buffalo safari memorable.
Our camp is small and personal, and we deliberately keep hunter numbers low. You are not arriving at a busy hunting lodge with numerous hunting parties leaving every morning. We want every hunter to experience the area and safari properly.
9 full hunting days + 2 travelling days
Late season is also a wonderful time to be in this part of Mozambique. The bush is dry, water becomes more concentrated and the game movement can make for some very exciting hunting.
Licensed Professional Hunter
Fully equipped hunting vehicle
Trackers and skinners
Client hunting licence
Road transfers from and back to Johannesburg International Airport
Expenses before or after the safari

Day fees and rifle import permits are payable as soon as possible. We need 28 days for Rifle permits and hunting card before arrival.
Trophy fees are payable once an animal is wounded or taken.
Additional plains game can also be hunted. The relevant licence and trophy fee would only become payable when an animal is wounded or taken.
If anyone on AH has been considering a Mozambique buffalo hunt but has been waiting for the right opportunity, please feel free to send me a PM, WhatsApp me or ask any questions here.
There is absolutely no obligation — I am always happy to talk about the area, travel logistics, buffalo hunting, camp or what you can expect from the safari.
We would love to welcome another AH member to camp and share this wild part of Mozambique with you.
