Hello. Does the FJ have a 50 state smog tag on it? Thanks.

Yes, the 2014 FJ Cruiser's Emissions Tag says: “California: ULEV II LDT2” and “OBD: CA II.”
It has 50-State compliant emissions which not all of them had.

My wife reminded me the previous owner was in California and registered the car there, not Minnesota. I took delivery of the vehicle in Minnesota. Before that, it was in Texas.

It goes without saying that this vehicle has a clean Carfax, never had an accident/collision, has never been repainted or molested in any manner. Any improvements done to the vehicle are reversible and I have the original parts. For example, all the bulbs in car interior and on the mirrors are now LED bulbs, but the original bulbs swap back in. The custom leather interior is OVER the original cloth interior (the only way they came) and is fully reversible. The OEM Toyota rearview mirror has the homelink garage door buttons on it ($1400 OEM mirror) but I have the original mirror w/o homelink as well. It has an up to date Sony $1000+ radio/navigation/carplay system that works wirelessly over bluetooth, but I have the original radio and the dash wasn't chopped up whatsoever. The Nav unit has Maestro adapters so all the car diagnostics appear on the radio and the steering wheel controls work with the radio. Yes, it has the OEM backup camera and it was integrated with the NAV unit. Of course it has the original owners manual and leatherette paper folio. Of course it has keyless entry with three keys, one of them is the valet key. Yes, it has the rubber trays in the console and the rubber cup holder inserts that are usually lost or damaged. Yes it has the OEM floor mats.

Wow great sale and yes the spears and dagger caught my eye also.

Slightly off topic, but is $270,000 for Dartmouth/ND the estimated cost of tuition for a 4-yr degree? Surely not for one year right?

Best of Luck

Dartmouth isnt cheap.. current undergrad tuitionis about $71K per year.. factor in housing, food, fees, parking, books, and all the other costs and youre going to be lucky to spend less than $100K a year.. it aint cheap...

But if I were selecting an Ivy today.. Dartmouth is one of the few left I'd consider.. They havent tarnished their brand like some of the others have recently.. and that education will pay for itself in just a few short years..

$400,000 for four years tuition/fees/room/meals. $100k per year.

Maximum loan amount they will let a kid have is $5500-$7500 per year. If the kid saves for college, their cost of tuition increases. If the parents have a 529 plan, tuition increases. If parents own their home, tuition goes up. Need-based-aid only kicks in for people that are highly leveraged.

So yeah, its a jungle out there if you haven't seen what college costs and how the FAFSA and CSS profiles work these days.

I am so with you. I paid cash for both my kids college one being out of state. I could have had either an incredible house or six nice elephant hunts to Bots!!!! Great investment though in my kids I would not change for anything!!!

I owned an FJ cruiser at one time. I drove it for three years and sold it for $200 less than I paid for it. That was after they announced they wouldn't make any more but before resales went crazy. I currently drive a 4 Runner I love or I'd be all over the FJ.

Jeez....If the system isn't broken, it has a large Crack in the manifold.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.
