As the title says, what is the correct "sling swivel" for these double rifle studs?

There are 3 ideas normally encountered, leather tie - Hook type or the semi old larger screw type, away from home right now or I’d put up a pic.

Oh there is a Clip Type, bit like a Dog Collar clip as well !

Traditionally they used a leather lace and tied the sling to the stud. It is a very effective connection and guaranteed to be silent.

My advice is if you go the leather thong from Els Leather, don’t opt for the canvas. I have the canvas strap version and the rigby stamped leather version on a couple of rifles. The canvas does tend to slide off your shoulder. It’s not terrible but I’d opt for the leather version if I bought a third.

I’ve heard that trader Keith has a rubber weave or something similar in theirs which would be handy.

Either way they are extremely quiet and I like them both for stalking thick bush with rifle in hand.

I don’t know if this is the best, worst or just an acceptable way to tie it but it’s how I do it on my Rigby.

This is one of them & I can’t find a Dog Collar type clip on line right now as in between jobs.

This is a old type QT sling clip that has different size strap sling holders, this looks like a very narrow one.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!
